Miyagawa-cho, one of the traditional five Hanamachi districts of Kyoto, is located in Higashiyama-ward.

This particularly tranquil area in Kyoto, lined with tea houses, has been a place to enjoy the performances
and arts of Geiko and Maiko specializing in dance and music since the Edo period.
Rinn Kyoto Miyagawa-suji Hitotose AKi is located in the most peaceful and historic place.

"Hitotose" means one year, representing the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
The word "Aki" stands for the autumn.
The last day of the performance is called "Senshu-raku". The word "Sen-shuraku" contains the character for "autumn".
The character for "秋(autumn)" contains the character for "fire". During the Edo period, theaters were often destroyed by fire,
which led to the use of the character " 穐",
which has the auspicious character "亀 (turtle)", instead of "火 (fire)". That's where we got the name "AKi 穐”.

The streetscape of Miyagawa-cho continues directly into the interior, with a spacious living room space on the first floor.
This luxurious space also includes an open-air bath and a sauna,
which provide a luxurious time as if they are connected to one another.

The open kitchen is well-equipped with utensils, plates, glasses, and cutlery.
You can enjoy your time as you like, with cuisine using fresh Kyoto vegetables from the market,
or catering by your favorite chef. Soft drinks, wine, and a variety of snacks are also available.

When you go up to the second floor via elevator or stairs, you will find two private bedrooms,
each with a separate shower booth, perfect for a group stay.
The modern interior is characterized by the abundant use of washi paper, a traditional Japanese craft.
There is also a minibar on the second floor where you can enjoy your favorite drinks in each bedroom.

We provide a Marble Danish set from the popular Danish specialty store in Kyoto, "GRAND MARBLE".
Enjoy it for breakfast, brunch, or any time you like.

We have a genuine Finnish private Löyly sauna, allowing our guests to relax in tranquility.
The open-air bath can be used not only with hot water but also as a cold bath by filling it with cold water.

The laundry room is equipped with a washing machine and an ironing counter, making it convenient for long-term stays.
