Miyagawa-cho is a town located in a stone-paved street running from Kiyomizu Gojo of Higashiyama-ku in Kyoto.
The teahouse-like guest house Rinn Miyagawa-cho Tsubaki welcomes its guests on the street where maiko and geisha walk by.
As you walk in, you will find yourself in a quiet space with pillars of plain wood and a pine floor.
In the room with a wooden floor on the first floor, you can relax and enjoy the view of the courtyard.
You will feel relaxed as you watch the inner garden
through the shoji with partial glass windows on the verandah leading to a spacious Japanese-style room.
Beds and futons are prepared on the second floor.
The room with a tatami floor next to the beds has a low table and cushions
where you can spend some time before going to sleep.
The bed throws that were dyed with persimmon tannin produced in Ohara, Kyoto,
using natural water, have warm colors unique to natural dyes.
We selected the ones with colors that become more intense with time so our guests can enjoy the changes.
The combination of furniture, materials, and accessories in elegant and warm colors creates bright and comfortable rooms
where guests can take a break from the routine and relax in a luxurious private space.
