Listening to the murmuring of a stream

There is a townhouse called “Rinn Shijo Takasegawa North” along Takasegawa River which cherry blossoms have been in full bloom in spring.
This townhouse is certified as Kyo-machiya by Kyoto City, therefore we use the framework, stairs, and lattice windows as they are to leave the traditional structure.
There is a veranda on the 1st floor that you can go out and feel the murmuring of the stream.
The blue color of an incense burner and cushions remind you of water.
Also, a garden lantern on the veranda has the pattern of wave plover, which is a symbol of good luck.
