Rinn Kamiebisu subtly blends into the streetscape of downtown Kyoto's backstreets.
We aimed to create a space that would complement the decor (furniture and art) and enhance our guests' experience.
The interior is unified around a black & white color scheme, and incorporates dynamic Japanese calligraphic art to suggest the cool aspects of Japanese culture, inspired by a duality of yin and yang elements.
To this are added traditional crafts and artwork to give an elegant touch.
We aimed to create a space where you can get in touch with the Japanese mentality and aesthetic, relaxing totally as you would while meditating.
