The Kyoto City Accommodation Tax will undergo a rate revision effective March 1, 2026 (Sunday).
As a result, the accommodation tax amount based on your room rate will be changed as follows:

【Before Revision】 (For stays until February 28, 2026)
・Room rate per person per night: Less than JPY 20,000 → Tax: JPY 200
・Room rate per person per night: JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000 → Tax: JPY 500
・Room rate per person per night: JPY 50,000 or more → Tax: JPY 1,000

【After Revision】 (Applicable from March 1, 2026)
・Room rate per person per night: Less than JPY 6,000 → Tax: JPY 200
・Room rate per person per night: JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000 → Tax: JPY 400
・Room rate per person per night: JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000 → Tax: JPY 1,000
・Room rate per person per night: JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000 → Tax: JPY 4,000
・Room rate per person per night: JPY 100,000 or more → Tax: JPY 10,000

※ The accommodation tax is charged per person per night based on the room rate only (excluding consumption tax and meal charges).
※ The accommodation tax is not included in the room rate and will be collected separately at check-in or check-out.
