Traditional crafts such as Isamu Noguchi standing lights, Kyo-yuzen textiles, raku ware, and thick printed paper are displayed throughout the room.
Japanese maple trees and Japanese silverleaf plants can be seen in the inner garden, visible from the Japanese-style room on the first floor.
In the fall, maple trees turn bright red, and silverleaf plants bloom large yellow flowers.
This inner garden can also be seen from the bathroom, so you can relax and heal the fatigue from your trip while soaking in the tub.
The Japanese-style room comes equipped with cushions and low chairs, but standard chairs and tables are also installed in the hallway next to it so that those not accustomed to sitting on the floor can feel comfortable.
Taking a seat here and gazing at the inner garden while drinking a cup of tea is sublime.
Kyo-yuzen fabric, which is displayed in front of the second floor, is one of Kyoto's traditional crafts. In the past, the dyed prints were soaked in the Kamogawa River to bring out vivid colors.
The vase with large sarsaparilla is also a piece of traditional raku ware pottery.
Once you unwind from your trip, take some time to explore around the room and see what else you find.
On the way from the house to Tofuku-ji Temple, there are local eateries, yakitori restaurants, popular cafes, and sweet shops that locals go to.
Stroll to Tofuku-ji Temple while eating some dumplings or grilled chestnuts to further make the most of the spectacular seasonal views.
Tofukuji Station can be reached via the Keihan Main Line or JR Nara Line, giving you convenient access to other tourist destinations. Utilize Rinn Tofukuji Kamogawa as your hub in the area while you see the sights, or take a stroll around the Tofuku-ji Temple environs.
